City of the Wolves demo available from September 30! Try Arcade Mode, the tutorial, and other popular modes with Rock, Terry, and more!

 

 

Osaka, Japan — SNK Corporation today unveiled a demo version of FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves for supported platforms. This version will be available from September 30, 2026. (The Nintendo Switch™ 2 version is scheduled for release in late October 2026.)

The demo version includes six characters (Rock, Terry, Hotaru, Preecha, Vox, and Mai) and a variety of game modes (Arcade, Classic Versus, Training, Tutorial, Trial, Color Edit) to give players a taste of what the retail version has to offer.

Whether you’re new to fighting games entirely or a longtime fan of the series, be sure to experience the adrenaline-pumping fights for which City of the Wolves has come to be known. Arcade Mode lets you play as Rock, Terry, and Hotaru through to their rival stages; Classic Versus, Training, and Trials allow the use of all six characters.

 

Fight at full throttle in offline single player!

 

Try the following game modes in this demo version. Settings can also be customized.

 

 

Arcade:

Enjoy story and CPU battles.

Play two matches in total using Rock, Terry, or Hotaru.

(From the prologue to the rival cutscene.)

 

Classic Versus:

Compete against a CPU opponent, or watch two CPU characters fight.

Player versus player is not available.

 

Training:

Freely try out controls and combos.

Choose from six characters and four stages.

 

Tutorial:

Learn the basics of battle.

Choose from Beginner, Basic, and Expert exercises.

 

Trials:

Various combo trials for the six demo characters.

 

Color Edit:

Customize appearance and outfit colors for each of the six demo characters.

 

 

 

 

Fast-paced fun for newcomers and veterans alike!
Two distinct control schemes!

 

At the start of the game, you can choose between two control methods: Arcade Style and Smart Style.

 

Arcade Style

Traditional fighting game controls. This control style is recommended for experienced fighting game players who want to master a variety of attack methods.

 

Smart Style

This control style is recommended for those new to fighting games, as it allows you to easily perform a special move or combo at the push of a button.

 

On first launch, the game will guide you through Tutorial Mode and Arcade Mode, allowing you to experience actual gameplay after learning the basic controls. The tutorial can be skipped and played again even after completion.

 

 

 

Six characters to choose from!

 

Choose from six characters and experience their different fighting styles. Availability varies by game mode.

 

Rock Howard

The young son of Geese Howard. Raised by Terry Bogard. Has a well-balanced fighting style that combines power and speed.

 

Terry Bogard

The face of the Fatal Fury series. Known as the Legendary Wolf of South Town. With powerful special moves and impressive strength, this character is easy to handle for both beginners and advanced players.

 

Hotaru Futaba

A young female fighter who specializes in graceful martial arts and speedy combo attacks. She flusters her opponents with agile movements and a wide range of combos.

 

Preecha

The Rising Muay Thai Maiden. Her close-quarters aggression and high mobility can quickly leave opponents in a bind.

 

Vox Reaper

Uses unconventional movements and reach to throw opponents off their game. Control the flow of the match with highly unique attacks.

 

Mai Shiranui

A kunoichi who gracefully fights using her trademark Shiranui ninjutsu. She corners her opponents with swift movements and a variety of attacks.

 

 

Special demo version of Arcade Mode!

 

The retail version consists of seven Arcade Mode matches in total; here, they have been adapted into two exciting matches.

 

Available matchups:

Rock: Hotaru and Terry (rival match)

Terry: Hotaru and Rock (rival match)

Hotaru: Rock and Preecha (rival match)

Battle and train across four stages!

 

The following four stages are available in Classic Versus and Training.

Customize your character’s colors your way!

 

In Color Edit, you can change the characters’ colors. The color patterns available in the demo version are limited to the default options, and switching to alternate costumes is not supported.
